Mike Adams, Aurora Studios large table lamp.
Four socket, four panel standing 23 inches tall and is 20 inches
in diameter. This is a seamed lamp, not spun. Purchased in 1990
and is signed with an acid etched mark he no longer uses. I was
speaking with Mike the other day in my shop and he remembers
only making a couple of these. It was fun watching him, it was
like he rediscovered an old friend. He seemed to be quite proud
of this one.

Roycroft lamp in excellent original patina and overall condition. Period lighting has become increasingly harder to find. Fewer and fewer lamps surface and the demand continues to rise. This is why we see so many reproductions today. This lamp was produced during the period approximately 90 years ago. It is in remarkable condition for its age. It has been rewired. Measures 13 1/2 inches tall and base is 6 inches square.

Rustic American Antler chandelier. A wonderful
period fixture that came to me from a camp in the Adirondacks.
The camp was built in approximately 1910 and furnished in primarily
Gustav Stickley furniture along with a few things by Charles Rohlfs.
I have pictures of this hanging in the great room of the camp. Measurements
are 57" tall which could be adjusted x 27" in diameter. |
 |
Handel lamp with a overlay shade of what looks like poinsettias.
Excellent condition with some patina work, both shade and base signed.
20" tall x 15" in diameter. |

Aurora Studios Hanging Fixture, those of you
who know Mike Adams would agree he is the best contemporary craftsman
working in this period today. This fixture is a replica of a Gustav
Stickley fixture produced from hand hammered copper, hammered amber
glass panels and American White Oak cross beams. I don't believe
that this is available from Aurora anymore. This came from a customer
who decided to go the route of Nakashima. The fixtures measurements
are 40" from ceiling to bottom of shade, The oak cross beam is
26" square, the copper cross strap is 18 3/4" square and the lanterns
measure 9" tall x 6" square at the top and 4 1/8" square at the
body. |

Handicraft Guild, Minneapolis ceramic lamp
base with a period hammered copper and mica shade. A very nice
piece of lighting produced between 1904 1918. Handicraft Guild
was one of a number of Arts and Crafts societies established as
a response to The Arts and Crafts Movement. This lamp measure 20
inches tall x 19 1/2 inches in diameter, rewired in fabric cord.
Very good condition. |

Roycroft copper and mica lamp in excellent condition. This lamp has it's original Aurora brown patina and what appears to be old if not original mica. I say this because there is no evidence of the tabs, that hold the mica, having been bent. In any case it is a nice example of this form. Lamp has been rewired with a fabric wrapped cord. Signed with the orb mark and measures 13 1/4 inches tall. |

Handel lamp with a reverse painted shade of oak leaves. Excellent original condition both shade and base signed. 20" tall x 14" in diameter. |
