Leopold Stickley named his first company Onondaga
Shops after the county in NY he was doing business in. This triple
door bookcase was made during this period. The tall gallery back,
5/4 inch thick sides and the hand wrought hardware were all indicative
of this period. This case purchased in Fayetteville NY never left
the town in which it was made and stayed with the same family since
it was purchased, circa 1903. Excellent original finish and condition
with no restoration. This measures 56 1/2 inches tall x 73 1/2
inches wide x 11 1/2 inches deep. |
